Welcome to my blog site and thanks for stopping by. I grew up in Phoenix/Tempe in Arizona. In my formative years I took months long road trips across the USA where I came to appreciate the benefits of food, clean bathrooms, and showers. I learned to love photography in high school. Since then, I have continued to pursue and enjoy the hunt for the perfect shot. I've worked as a photojournalist, sports, and wedding/events photographer. Shameless Self-Promotion

The author shares his witty, incisive view of the world in his freewheeling essays from his newspaper columns. He then takes us into the depths and dark side of family life where diverse belief systems: religion, politics, and life styles come into play adding stress and pressurize the family dynamics to the breaking point. He follows with his take on holidays, their origins, and family customs.  A fascinating read into the life of the author, his family, and the struggles we all face in the 21st century. The author is an Arizona native and grew up in South Phoenix and occasionally attended ASU in Tempe. He lives in Mesa, Arizona.

First Friday Night – Monthly Event Mesa, Arizona

I keep hoping something exciting or daring will take place in downtown Mesa when I visit. I’ll keep trying

The best part was the drive home.
As I drove by, I captured this intellectual pillar of salt who had decided to sit atop the light rail station. Going by at speed his neck became elongated. Weird.

Florence, Arizona

I drove to Florence, AZ., about 45 miles southeast of Mesa, to grab some shots of their annual car show. However, as always, people pictures are far more interesting. Youā€™ll note a majority of people were without masks. I know it was outdoors, but really? I double masked while I walked about, and I stayed away from everyone. I canā€™t figure out why Arizona has such high COVID-19 cases. One artsy fartsy pic, too.
